After each losing a parent, two eleven-year-olds, Alby and Mallee, attempt to understand their new reality and reconcile their grief. Their grief shifts their relationship into a new landscape of intimacy and vulnerability, as they try to make sense of a world where nothing lasts. Their conversation becomes a question of how to live and how to love in a world that no longer feels safe or kind. Set in a quiet, Australian coastal town, their loss sprawls across ocean and open sky, and runs parallel to the persistence of their childhood & moments of joy and freedom dance alongside their sadness.
